In Memory...

...of Robert (Bob) M. Sandy, friend and fellow astronomer and earth science teacher. Here are a few of Bob's many beautiful astrophotos. They show the grand Orion Nebula (with C. Lang), a series of Mars images taken in 2003 (with C. Lang), and the magnificent summer Milky Way as viewed under the dark skies of New Mexico. More of Bob’s images are on his website listed below. Bob left us these images to enjoy and as a reminder of our goal to preserve and protect our precious dark night sky! Please do whatever you can to help keep Bob’s memory alive by darkening the sky where you live. Thank you.
